The Swarm - Post-Ludum Dare Update

Now that Ludum Dare voting is over, it's time for a huge (Ludum Dare rule breaking) update!

Release Notes

  • Better feedback for player damage, including screen effect and sounds for bites and burning.
  • Feedback for pickups, with pickup type and count
  • Added weapon penetration, high-velocity rounds (currently only the burst rifle) now penetrate multiple targets (doing less damage to single targets, but allowing damage to multiple targets from a single shot).
  • Rearranged UI for better readability - still very much WIP
  • Rebalanced kick
  • Rebalanced all weapons
  • Renamed SMG to Assault Rifle
  • Added models for individual weapons
  • Improved container and canister models
  • Improved alien model
  • Added gibs for containers
  • Improved foam canister explosion effect
  • Added ragdolls for aliens
  • Improved alien attack logic
  • Fixed damage from acid, acid damage won't stack anymore, so instead of being damaged by 5 patches of acid, you're either being damaged by acid, or you're not.
  • Fixed mouse positioning / aiming while camera is moving
  • Fixed the bug where the player can get extra time just waiting in the briefing screen (aaaaah, not sure if anyone else knew about this ;) )
